Current Exhibit; 1860 Pacific Overtures

The National Japanese American Historical Society, Inc. presents a new exhibit, 1860 Pacific Overtures in conjunction with the Kanrin Maru 150th Anniversary Celebration Committee.
This exhibit tells you the whole voyage of the first Japanese delegation to the U.S. in 1860. The Embassy came to San Francisco on the USS Powhatan with its escort ship, Kanrin Maru.
