This annual event commemorating the signing of Executive Order 9066 is organized by the Bay Area Day of Remembrance Consortium of which NJAHS is a member and fiscal sponsor. Executive Order 9066 is the order signed by President Franklin Roosevelt that eventually led to the mass incarceration of Japanese Americans in World War II. The 2009 DOR is scheduled for Sunday February 22 at the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas in SF Japantown.
