Opening Reception: Nuchi du Takara Exhibition

Launching the exhibit Nuchi du Takara: Lessons from the Battle of Okinawa will be an opening reception in the Gallery on Saturday, January, 15, 2011 at 1684 Post St. (between Laguna and Webster), San Francisco Japantown. The public is invited to view the exhibition and to enjoy refreshments as well as performances by American Indian musicians John-Carlos Perea and Jessica Bissett Perea , the Nakayoshi Group (Okinawan songs), and the celebrated Sushi Cal Band with a special rendition of the famed song Shima Uta (for the battle of Okinawa).
