Rev. Takashi Tanemori
On August 6, 1945, Takashi, then eight years old, was less than one mile from ground zero when the atomic bomb exploded. For forty years he struggled to survive in post-war Japan and after immigration to the United States of America. Tanemori’s art reflects his belief that forgiveness is the precursor to peace.

This film focuses on the exchanges between generations, the bombing of Hiroshima and the nature of forgiveness. Sixty years after WWII’s end, Takashi Tanemori returns to his home in Hiroshima and reconciles with his estranged sister.
