Sansei Brian Yamamoto, in a photographic narrative, reports on the FFVN’s tour of France for the 70th anniversary of the liberation of France in 1944. Escorted by 442nd Regimental Combat Team veteran Shig Doi, Yamamoto led a group of over sixty people to retrace the path of the 442nd in the liberation of France. The group visited battlegrounds such as Bruyeres, met with French resistance fighters, and paid tribute at historic memorial sites and museums. Mike Izumi will also present a short video of the trip.
