The site included 125 barracks in the racetrack infield and 40 more east of the fairgrounds and was populated by a total of 4,390 persons of Japanese ancestry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Stockton closed on October 17, 1942 and was in operation for 160 days.
