The National Japanese American Historical Society is pleased that some of our objects and historical materials were used by the Chinese American GI Project in their exhibit: “Duty, Honor, Country, Courage: Asian Americans in Military Service” for Asian American History Month. Open May 3 to June 4, 1-6pm Wed-Sun, free admission at the Veterans Gallery in the Veterans Building on 401 Van Ness Avenue. The exhibit honors the legacy and service of Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese Americans who served in the armed force of the United States from the American Civil War to Afghanistan.
