In conjunction with the special exhibition Then They Came for Me: Incarceration of Japanese Americans During WWII and the Demise of Civil liberties https://thentheycame.org/ NJAHS is hosting a series of teacher development workshops titled WE ARE ALL AMERICANS for classroom teachers Grades 4 – 12. $50 stipend and lunch is provided for an all day session (9:30AM to 5PM) at the MIS Historic Learning Center, Building 640, Crissy Field, Presidio of San Francisco, along with a tour of the special exhibition. This exhibition examines the causes and consequences of the WWII exclusion and incarceration of 120,000 persons of Japanese ancestry, drawing on critical analysis and parallels to current events today.
